The tenth round of the season for the riders of the MV Agusta Temporary Forward Racing team is coming to an end.
The first race of the second half of the championship in Brno, Czech Republic, ended a little understated.
Yesterday’s wet day changed the conditions of the tarmac found today. Both Manzi and Aegerter, in fact, complained of a lack of grip at the rear that limited the action of the two flag holders of the Italian-Swiss team.
Stefano Manzi, who finished his race in 20th position, has recovered 4 positions from the start. The cadet of the VR 46 Riders Academy finished just over 30 seconds from the first, which on a circuit 5 kilometers as this, means a gap of about 1/4 of the total length of the track.
Dominique Aegerter, who started from 27th place on the starting grid, ended his race with a recovery of 6 positions. The Swiss riders finished just two tenths of a second behind his teammate.
The concentration remains high for the next appointment in Spielberg, Austria next weekend.
Stefano Manzi #62 – P20
“Today’s race was quite complicated, the start was not the best and I tried to climb as much as possible with the positions even if it was very difficult because on the track you slipped a lot. Unfortunately I couldn’t keep up with the pace I had in practice, now we’ll try to work on the data to try to do better in Austria”.
Dominique Aegerter #77 – P21
“I am very disappointed for the result of this race. The weekend started uphill already in free practice and this did not facilitate the work, the wet qualifying in addition did not allow us to find the right set up. We will certainly continue to work hard to improve our performances in a week in Austria. I hope we can find the right feeling and take a step forward”.
Milena Koerner – Team Manager
“Despite the comeback of both riders, the race was still underwhelmed and this is certainly not the result we expected as the first race after the summer break. Both of them had the same problems with the bike so we’ll analyse the data carefully. Fortunately the next race will already be next week in Austria, so we will continue to work to improve the performance that this brand deserves”.
