Tradition
Forward Racing

The Forward Racing Teamwas founded in 2009, when Giovanni Cuzari decided to shift his focus from sponsorship to a more ambitious goal: racing.

After a start as protagonists in 2010, with two bikes lined up on the starting grid of the newly born Moto2 category with riders Jules Cluzel and Claudio Corti, and a 2011 marked by technical development, in 2012 a third bike is added in MotoGP, in its first year of CRT regulations, with the colors of the Italian-Swiss team. The standard bearer is the Texan Colin Edwards.

In 2013 the challenge doubles in both categories. Forward Racing became the biggest team in the world championship, with four bikes in Moto2 with Alex De Angelis, Mattia Pasini, Simone Corsi and Ricard Cardùs, and two in MotoGP with Colin Edwards and Claudio Corti.

In 2014, the Forward Racing Team managed to take first place in the Open Championship, a category in which all private teams were involved, with Aleix Espargarò.

2015 continues in the same vein as the previous year, with two bikes in Moto2 and two in MotoGP.

In 2016 the team decided to focus its attention on the Moto2 World Championship, with two bikes lined up on the grid and a project locked in the drawer, a project that would then take off at the end of 2017: to bring MV Agusta back to the highest levels of competition.

2018 therefore sees the team committed not only to Moto2, but also to the new testing adventure ahead of the following season.

2019 was the first season that saw on track the F2 project. The pioneer riders of this adventure, Stefano Manzi and Dominique Aegerter, already managed to bring home the first points in the standings from the third race.

The big breakthrough came at the Thai GP with the new CRC-branded swingarm, before arriving in Australia to set the world speed record in the Moto2 category and ending the season as protagonists, with Stefano Manzi third in an exciting qualifying session and fourth in the race at Valencia.

2020 see an all-Italian line-up for the Italo-Swiss team: Stefano Manzi, cadet of the VR|46 Riders Academy, is about to start his third consecutive season with the team and Simone Corsi, policeman of the Fiamme Oro. This season turns out to be very peculiar right from the start, due to the COVID-19 world pandemic, which has caused many changes not only in the calendar, but also in the running of the races themselves.

The 2021 finds again as protagonist the Fiamme Oro rider Simone Corsi, who starts with the team his fourth season, the second consecutive one. At his side Lorenzo Baldassarri, who returns to the team after a three-year absence and thus begins his fifth season as a "Forward" rider and his first as MV Agusta flag bearer. Alongside the two official riders, the MV Agusta Forward Racing team welcomes a third bike, headed by young Tommaso Marcon. The rider from Padova will take part in most of the European races as a Wild Card and will follow the team during the championship.
